IEEE 1394a Express card MM-ECP1394-21 adds two 1394a firewire ports for laptop which provides full 400 Mbps throughput for high performance FireWire 400 peripherals.

IEEE 1394a Express card MM-ECP1394-2 is ideal for FireWire peripherals such as digital video camcorders, digital still image cameras, set top boxes, hard drives, DVD/CD-RWs and mass storage devices, editing multimedia content or simply transferring large volumes of data from a computer to FireWire-connected external storage.

IEEE 1394a Express card MM-ECP1394-2 enables you to take advantage of the high-speed performance offered by the new PCI Express technology. Two 400Mbps FireWire/1394a ports on a ExpressCard/34 allows user to connect two device to the card at the same time.
